Who is this dog for?

The dog is for both of us. Me and Fiance have always wanted a Corgi and we hope we can be able to give our rescue dog the best love and care it deserves.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
The reason we love this breed because we have always preferred short dogs. We haven't had any experiences with this dog, but we have had dogs in the past. We have done research on the breed and reading about them we like that the breed is very smart and alert; we like they are very energetic; that they are good with children; and that they respond well to their owners.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We do plenty of activities: dog park; many walks; plenty of playtime; have our dog interact with our families dog so they are good with one another and they can have play dates.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
If the Pembroke makes a mistake we will handle it in the best way possible with patience and gentleness.

Discipline:
Methods I would use to discipline my dog:
1. Use reward-based training for self-rewarding behaviors.
2. Ignore bad behaviors that aren't self-rewarding.
3. Use time-outs effectively.
4. Stop our puppy from barking.
5. Avoid using physical punishment.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Our Pembroke would spend most of his or her time in the house. We will more likely crate train our dog too but we would like our dog outside of the house for good weather and playtime and of course in the house outside of a cage.
