Who is this dog for?

My boyfriend and I moved into our house few months ago. We noticed that without the 2 Jack Russel Terriers from when I lived with my parents, things are much quieter.

We are looking to fill in that quiet boring time at home. We miss the morning walks and late night strolls. We thought about getting a cat but they aren't as loving or as playful.

We hope to be able to adopt a little fluffy wiggler from you.

Thank you for your time,

Sincerely,
Rachael Baker

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We always love small to medium dogs. We love that they are quiet active and love to run. I would be in charge of training the dog as I know they are happier when they have things to do. My boyfriend works a lot more than I do, (I work 20 hours a week) so I'll be around to play and cuddle with the puppy/dog. Plus, I love their little wiggling booties!

I have owned 2 Jack Russel Terriers before which are staying with my parents. They are fun but they weren't as active as I wished they were. They would only go out to the lawn but it was impossible to get them to go for walks more than a block or two.

I've read on multiple websites and talked to a Corgi owner in the neighborhood about them. I think I would be a perfect dog-mother for them.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
There is a park about 2 minutes away from where I live. I would take the dog with my for my morning jog. At night, I usually go for a stroll and I would bring the dog with me as well.

I plan on taking the dog to run errands if the store allowed animals in the store. I watch a good bit of Netflix, so I would cuddle up with my dog and watch some shows.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I would tell it "no" in a stern manner. I would never hit the dog or do anything that will harm it. I will try to "show" it what the dog should have done instead. Try my best to reward the dog when s/he does things correctly.

Discipline:
With the Jack Russel Terriers, they would be given a "no" command. If they continued with that behavior, I would put them in a kennel as a time out. After awhile I would let them out and keep them by my side.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In the house with me. After that it would be the park right by my house.
