Questions Regarding Motivation for Adopting and Intentions
Who is this dog for?	Our family! We have one teenager (Natalie, 17) still living at home. We have a senior dog and a senior cat, as well. We recently lost a second dog to liver cancer and want to adopt. We have a lot of love to give a new dog!
Why do you want a Pembroke?	We have done research on the breed and we just love Corgi's. My daughter and I have wanted a corgi for years.
Activities planned with Pembroke:	Dog park, playing with balls and toys, walks, take it swimming (if it likes to swim), pamper it and love it forever!
Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?	Yes

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:	In the house. We have a fenced yard for play time too, but we don't ever leave the dogs outside. We would consider crate training, if the dog likes being in the crate. If the dog dislikes the crate and is well-behaved, we won't need to do that.

People at home during the day?	Andrew works short days (usually home by 3:00) and is off on Mondays. Natalie gets out of school by 3:45. Patti leaves home around 9:00 a.m. So, dog would be home (with the other animals) between about 9 and 3 from Tuesday to Friday.
Where would dog eat?	In the kitchen, next to his brother.
Where would dog sleep:	In a dog bed in the master bedroom or in Natalie's room, or possibly on the bed. (Running debate between husband and me. I like dogs on the bed — he doesn't.)

Are you willing to work on it if your new dog doesn’t get along with your current pets right away?	Yes. We don't anticipate adopting another cat once Gulliver passes away. He currently has kidney issues, and probably won't be alive for that much longer. He's comfortable for now. My husband is a bit allergic to the cat, and so are family members who come to visit but cannot stay in the house due to the cat. We do like having two dogs, so once Dookie passes away (he's currently about 17 years old but healthy), we will get a second dog.
