Why do you want a Pembroke?

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
It depends on the mistake, but with our current dog if he starts to chew something he is not suppose to, we just tell him no and he drops whatever he is chewing on.

Discipline:
We use positive reinforcement for good behavior, and use the word "no" for bad behavior.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
They would spend their time playing with the kids, or playing in the fenced yard with Cooper, and snuggled up with us on cold days.

Where would dog sleep:
They would have a dog bed in our room, next to Cooper's bed.
