Who is this dog for?

19 year old daughter who lives at home.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We love the breed, sturdy dogs with a loving attitude. Ours was also a vocal girl which was one of the things we liked most about her. She loved to go on rides and walks. She would try to Hurd the kids when they were younger. She helped our daughter who suffers with chronic migraine and was her companion when she was having a rough day.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
You can only correct a mistake if caught in the act. Verbal no, if on lead a quick short reprimand. But if they do a good job lots of praise and sometimes a special treat. Our pets are all bell trained to go potty.

Discipline:
A stern verbal no, shaker can, obedience classes or lead training methods. For some being placed in a submission hold. Every pet is different and how they respond to correction.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
With our daughter who suffers from chronic pain. By her side, we are looking into training to be a therapy dog for her as well.
