Why do you want a Pembroke?
We like smaller dogs. Our research has told us that the Corgi is affectionate and smart. We have friends with a Corgi and they love their dog. We also know a Corgi has a good life span and we are looking for that.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
If I catch him in the act, then I would tell him "no" firmly and remove him from the act and take him to the place where I want the behavior to occur or remove him from the situation. If I don't catch him in the act then there is not much to do because you have to have the reaction tied to the behavior you are trying to change.

Discipline:
Treats as rewards. Firm voice but never yelling. Get down at the dog level and redirect the dog.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In our house wherever we are. If we are gone we will have the dog in the sunroom and kitchen area on a tile floor.
