Questions Regarding Motivation for Adopting and Intentions
Who is this dog for?	He/she won't be for anyone… we want one to become part of our family!
Why do you want a Pembroke?	I have always wanted a wigglebutt Corgi! My husband and I both grew up with special canines that became important parts of our families and lives. I grew up with a sassy Frenchie named Ginger and a loveable giant Saint Bernard named Max. Neither of them are with us today, but I miss them always! A few years down the road, and we ventured out to start our own family with a home of our own. Now we have 2 beautiful kiddos, Rylan (boy, 7) and Ariella (girl, 3) and a cute little 3 bedroom house. We had always talked about adopting a fur baby, and our recent situation accelerated our search. For the last few weeks, we've had a furry house guest. A friend needed to house his beautiful Husky, Tawnka, for a few weeks while he dealt with a difficult moving situation. We LOVED having him here! He was spoiled with all the love and attention he could stand and we all got pretty attached to this sweet old boy… Needless to say, we decided now was the time. Corgi has been my favorite breed of dog for quite a few years now. Seriously, how can you say no to that face?! And after doing quite a bit of research, I fell in love with them even more. I wanted to look into possible medical issues for them as well as temperament, grooming and family situations. I was very pleased to find that they are hailed as easy to train, intelligent, affectionate and family oriented. It's quite an exciting and scary prospect to choose which breed to pursue, as there are many things to be considered. But i'm confident that the breed will be a good fit for our family and situation. So we ask you please, help our Corgi find us! We would be so honored and happy to be chosen by a wigglebutt from Lakeshore!
Activities planned with Pembroke:	We are a family that loves to do everything together. My husband works 2 jobs during the week so I can stay home with the kids, but he has off every weekend. So our little friend will be not be left alone very often. I'm home most of my day with kiddos, and on the weekends he/she will get to tag along on whatever adventure we're on! Or just stay home getting all the love and cuddles. We are also a big fan of family walks, so of course adding one more to the pack will be easy!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:	With PATIENCE. Just like one of my kids! It's a huge change, and we can be open minded and patient when it comes to getting used to a new home.
Discipline:	We were taught to use verbal commands and training to produce the behavior we wanted. No harsh or physical discipline would be tolerated. My in-laws are also dog owners (3 sweet pups) and we will definitely be turning to them for suggestions if any problems arise.

Play & exercise:	We go on regular family walks, and would increase to a short daily walk with a dog. We also live very close to the Outagamie County Dog Park, so there are many opportunities for exercise. Since we do live in Wisconsin, we will be looking into an indoor play option too for the winter months.

Description of yard:	We have a small corner lot, with a sizeable yard on the side of our house. There's also quite a bit of room between us and the neighbors that is shared. That part of the yard includes a swing set and a few other play structures for the kids. We also have a a large tree in the front yard.
