Who is this dog for?

Myself and my two children (12 and 17)

Why do you want a Pembroke?
My daughter has been obsessed with this breed for years, to the point where she tears up with joy! I started researching the breed last year and enjoy the thought of having a companion breed who loves to snuggle as well as play and exercise. We had rescued a chihuahua and I loved having a smaller dog and really miss his company.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Walk! I need a walking companion and I plan to make him or her my travel buddy when I leave the house to be social with friends. Most of my friends have dogs and I’d like to be able to join them at the dog park.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
My chihuahua was temperamental and often tested boundaries. I make time to train my dogs to correct behavior. My pets are like my children, no corporal punishment in my home.

Discipline:
See above

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
I work about 4-5 hours per day outside of my home. While I am gone he will likely be “kenneled” in the kitchen area in case of accidents. (The floor is easy to clean in there). Otherwise he will be free to roam the home.
