Who is this dog for?

This Pembroke would be for my boyfriend and I. We moved in together in August and would love a new addition to our small family. We have both grown up being dog lovers and don't feel complete without a furry friend running around our home.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have taken care of numerous breeds of dogs and I have done the research for Pembroke Welsh Corgis. I love everything about this breed and I think the Pembroke Welsh Corgi demeanor would get along great with my boyfriend, myself, and our home. We live in an apartment so we wanted a smaller dog. I also like to take my dogs with me and be active with my dogs.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We would go for numerous walks and runs. We would play outside a lot. We would go to dog parks and on trips. My boyfriend's family lives in Missouri so we would take our Pembroke with us on trips. We would also go swimming,

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
It is important to show the dog that it made a mistake and to use a stern voice with the dog. It is important that the dog has training to know right from wrong. It is also important to stay consistent with your rules and expectations of your dog. The more that the dog is used to a regular and consistent routine, the less accidents and mistakes will happen.

Discipline:
Some methods of disciple I have used with a dog is showing the dog it's mistake and using a stern voice. I have also corrected a dog by disciplining him/her on the nose.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
My Pembroke would spend most of his/her time in common areas of my apartment. I would not keep him/her locked up or in his/her crate. I would train the dog so we could trust him/her to be around the apartment without having an accidents or destroying anything. We would also spend a lot of time outside or running.
