Why do you want a Pembroke?	I recently lost my black lab/border collie who was 12 1/2 years old. That I had since puppy. I am looking for another dog, but I am 61 years old so I am looking for a dog who likes to go for walks but isn't as energetic as by lab/border collie was. I have a fenced in back yard, so dog would have place to run. I spend a lot of time outside in yard summer, I researched on website what dogs are good for seniors. This breed was listed.
Activities planned with Pembroke:	I would like to take 30 minutes walks daily when weather permits. In the winter, it is too slippery sometimes to walk on sidewalks. I work from home so the company would be nice. In the summer, I spend a lot of time outside working on my yard. Like to have dog that enjoyed being in fenced in back yard.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:	Its been awhile since I trained a dog. My black lab/border collie was very good dog. I would used stern No and praised him when did good. I think obedience school would be good sitting, walking on leash.
