Like I said, Heather has been wanting a Corgi for a very long time, and we were waiting until one of the cats died to get a dog, so we didn't have too many animals. Now we have space.
We have a small house, and a mostly fenced in yard, which I'll probably enclose if we get a dog. All I need is a security check and a gate over the driveway.
We are in our late 30s and in good health. I think we can have a dog now.
If this whole adoption thing doesn't work out, we'll have to track down a breeder I guess, which we'd rather not do. But we're not in a bug hurry either.

Who is this dog for?

It's for us, but mostly Heather. She's wanted a Corgi for ever. We had two cats, and it's just the two of us, so we couldn't take on more animals until one passed away. So one of our cats had to be put down a week ago, due to a cancer. Now we have room in the house, our other cat was adopted from a home that had two dogs and he was fine with them.
