Who is this dog for?

The new family member will be joining a family of four (dad, mom, 9 year old boy and 6 year old boy). We have no other pets. My oldest son is ready for a dog of his own with the help and support of all of us.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We are a family who loves spending time together, taking long walks and watching movies at home. We researched and read about the Corgi Breed and feel it would be a good match for our lifestyle and family. The breed is a great compliment to our family. We read that Corgis are generally loyal to the family unit, intelligent, and playful.
Our previous dog was a very active and intelligent Jack Russell terrier and we had many wonderful years.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We live in the downtown area of a small town and walk to parks, the ice cream shop, school, and festivals. We have a dog park in walking distance.
