Who is this dog for?

Our family. Two adults, one 12 year old. We have two cats and one 1 year old corgi.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We've had our corgi for about a year and could not be happier. He has been fun to train and see grow over the last year. As much as we liked adopting from a breeder we want to open our home to a corgi who may not have gotten that first chance.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We live close to a dog park and would spend lots of time there. We do not have a fenced in yard but would spend time around the yard leashed. Hoping to put in a fenced in area soon. We would spend time on long walks in our neighborhood and take him/her to little league baseball games during the summer. Doggie daycare would keep him/her busy during the week when we work/go to school.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
If making a mistake we would agree on what word/action to use. For example if pooping/peeing in the house we would use a firm "no" and bring him/her to the potty bells in the kitchen. We've done this with Douglas since he was a puppy and was potty trained within a few months. If nipping or grabbing something they shouldn't we would teach "drop it."

Discipline:
We use firm vocals. Such as "drop it," "come," or "leave it."

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
At home when we are home or doggy daycare/our parents house during the week.
