Who is this dog for?

This Pembroke is for Erica and Colin

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I want a Pembroke because I have loved this breed since I was a child. My dad and step mom used to breed Germen Sheperads and do agility training. I remember the first time I saw a Pembroke was at an agility course. I instantly loved their high energy that was also very sweet and lovable. I love that they are really smart and I am excited to be play and engage with this pup.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I am a runner, so I would love to be able to run and stay active with the pup. Also, I live near a lot of dog parks so I am looking for a pup I can take to dog parks. I also camp and hike, so being able to take pups on these activities would be ideal.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I currently walk dogs on Rover and get up around my parents training dogs. How I currently handle training is through positive and patient reinforcement. I use treats and praise to correct behaviors that I want to change.

Discipline:
I use positive reinforcement. For example, when leash training I bring treats and will stop walking when the dog is pulling and wait for them to notice me. Once they do I praise and call them. I continue to do this diligently until they are more focused on me during a walk then anything else.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
They would spend their weekdays during working hours at home, and then after and before work they would get walks an dog park visits. On the weekends, they spend their time going to dog parks and hiking trips.
