Who is this dog for?

Both of us, we are married.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
My husband grew up with one. They are very loyal, loving dogs with good temperments. They are one of the cutest breeds around.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Walks, short jogs, training, and fetch. We previously had a 14 yr old lab retriever that I had since she was a puppy. My husband would play hid and seek with her around the house. My husband also works nights so I would take them with me to my parents house, I visit with my family often while he works.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I would say no, try to point out the mistake to them while saying now, and then reward them when they don't make that mistake again. Its important to use positive reinforcement with dogs rather than fear tactics.

Discipline:
It all depends on the behavior we are trying to correct. Anything from no in a stern voice to putting them in a crate for a short period of time.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In our house or out in the yard with us. I would never leave my dog outside over night or for any prolonged amount of time.

People at home during the day?
I work during the day but only 5 min away so I come home for lunch every day. My husband works nights so usually one of us is always home.

Where would dog eat?
Their food and water bowl would be on the dining room floor.

Where would dog sleep:
In their dog bed on the floor of our bedroom.

Play & exercise:
My husband and I are active healthy people and we take our dogs with us on our adventures. They would get plenty of time outdoors with us, possibly doggie day care a couple days a month, and we would play with them on a daily basis.
