Who is this dog for?

This corgi would be primarily for Gina, however Christopher is my boyfriend and would help with the corgi as well. We have been researching Corgi breeders for several months, however I have adopted dogs in the past and would love to continue that tradition. I love the Corgi breed and have wanted to get one of my own for several years now. I would love to work with you on providing a Corgi in an extremely loving home. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
Obviously, what first drew me to the Corgi breed was how cute they are. As someone who has always grown up with dogs and have had dogs in my adult life, I knew that now is a time in my life when I would like another loving pup. After doing much research about which dog I think would be the best fit for me, Corgis came up again and again. I enjoy active breeds, as I am very active myself. I am also interested in a smaller breed as I live in an apartment currently, and know I could not provide an adequate environment for a larger breed. I know Corgis are extremely smart, and I feel that I have great patience to train them appropriately and give them the attention they require. I have always had very active and affectionate dogs throughout my life, so that is the type of breed I continue to search for.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
There are multiple dog parks around my area, so I already taken friends/siblings dog to the park very frequently. I enjoy letting them run around and see how happy they get when they can unwind. I also enjoy spending time with other dog owners and exchanging tips and tricks.

Do you have a veterinarian?

Yes

Vet contact info:

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I would remain calm, speak to the Corgi in a way he/she will understand. I will repeatedly go through commands with the Corgi until we start making progress. I full understand training takes patience.

Discipline:
I have always used positive reinforcement when training past dogs. This has always worked well for me in the past. I think the most important thing to keep in mind is patience. All dogs/breeds are different, but all can get to an adequate level of training with patience and time. We both need to be in the time to be successful. I would also be more than willing to take a class if I felt I needed extra help.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
My apartment, outside on walks with me, and at nearby dog parks
