Who is this dog for?

Both Asher and I (Amanda).

Why do you want a Pembroke?
First of all, I think Corgis are gorgeous. I know that they are loyal and love to work on something/do something productive. Unfortunately, I've had no experience with corgis, however I have read a lot of books and have done research online.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I would like to go for jogs/walks with them, play fetch, go swimming at lakes or beaches, travel up north to my parents so they can play with other dogs and if needed, train them.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Money for basic care?

Yes

Money for unforeseen medical expenses?
Yes

Willing to house train?
No
Willing to do formal training? Yes

Do you have a veterinarian?

Yes

Vet contact info:
{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I personally do not believe in rubbing the dogs nose in their pee/feces if they go in the house. There's multiple ways to handle disobedience/unwanted things like not giving them any attention, giving them positive reinforcement when they do something good, and having patience.

Discipline:
With the dogs I've had back when I lived with my parents, the method of discipline was to not give the dog any attention.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In our apartment. We don't mind the dog on the couch/chairs we have.

House dog or outside dog?

House dog

People at home during the day?
Usually not. About 90% of the time we one of us is home for lunch after 4 hours of work so we can let the dog out, etc.

Where would dog eat?
In our kitchen right next to the cats if possible. If not we can put him/her in a separate room.

Where would dog sleep:
We can get him/her a doggie bed or he/she can sleep in the bed with us.

Play & exercise:
Through toys and walks/jogs is how he/she would play. She'd get 2 walks/jogs a day for about 45 min each, she'd get about a half an hour on lunch to go outside and play with tennis balls, and while we aren't outside we'll be playing with toys inside.

How will you exercise your dog?
On leash
