Who is this dog for?

This adoption would be ourselves, a retired couple in their mid-60s. Live in the Milwaukee, WI area in a pet-friendly apartment complex. Have had a Corgi/Beagle mix in the past, and would love to adopt a young/adult Corgi at this time, hopefully in the current age range of 1-5 years old.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
Adopted a 5-yr old Corgi/Beagle mix several years back, and loved her immensely until her passing at the age of 12 from kidney failure. We've also enjoyed the company of a neighbor's young Corgi since.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Now that we've retired from our professions, we have more time to pay attention to him/her with plenty of walks, car rides, and play time.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Money for basic care?

Money for unforeseen medical expenses?

Willing to house train?

Do you have a veterinarian?

No

Vet contact info:
{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Sternly question them on what they did, place their nose in the mistake area, with a forceful "No. No. No." Never strike.

Discipline:
Mainly verbal disapproval, with a 'time-out' in a crate if needed. If continual problem, would seek advice of a professional.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Dog would have free reign of our living area. Dog bed if they preferred one. When we're not able to take the dog along, it would spend its time either crated, or remain loose inside the apartment, depending on situation.
