 This is for my fiancee and I.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 Obviously, they're one of the cutest animals and soft and fluffy, but aside from that, I'm looking to propose to my girlfriend and I believe having a corgi will be a great way to start out our little family. We definitely need something to help keep us active and because Corgis need such attention and activity it would be perfect for us. We've talked about getting a dog for years and I think its a great time to pull the trigger and find one to love!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Daily walks would be a great starter. Constant attention giving and games inside are fine too, but shouldn't take away from their need to get physical activity. We love doggy parks and if the dog is great with other animals we would love to bring him or her with us to get some air, meet other cute puppers, and mingle. Also of course, belly scritches.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		Act quick! I wouldn't hurt the dog by any means, but he should understand what he did is not okay. If I don't nudge him right away, he won't know what he did wrong. Telling him "No!" is adequate I think, but obviously I have to be harsher if he's not understanding. Again, I would never hurt the animal, but my tone can really tell the animal a lot and that is plenty.

After adequate time, they can have belly scritches again.


Discipline:
 Nothing physical. Just verbal and obvious motions that make me seems upset. I would put it in terms that they can understand.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
 In the apartment, or with my girlfriend until she moves in, but outside would be our ultimate goal for him if he could enjoy more out door time (or she).

 He would have his own bed, but every once in a while he can sleep with us 🙂

Play & exercise:
 Fetch and toys are great starters, but runs and walks are the best way to get him out. My girlfriend has a yard and so we could keep him out in the yard while he's there. When we inevitably move, we hope that we find a place with him/her in mind!

Description of yard:

 For the above bullet points, my lease permits dogs, but I need to talk with the landlord to actually obtain the dog. It would just be another fee added on top, and as long as the dog is not aggressive, its fine. It would be a simple process to get the green light!

I've also owned many dogs in my childhood and have great experience from that to care for the pupper 🙂
