Who is this dog for?

Both of my girlfriend and I.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We're drawn to the personality of the breed – curious, playful, and energetic. My girlfriend, who is 5'0", loves the breed's short stature and short legs. We also love the smirks we see on these dogs.

Yes, we have read up on the breed, but I'll admit that my girlfriend has probably done more reading than I have.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We have a park across the street from our condo where we could play around with our puppy. We also have ample space indoors for the corgi to be active. Aside from that, just hanging out with our corgi would bring us happiness.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Money for basic care?

Yes

Money for unforeseen medical expenses?
Yes

Willing to house train?
Yes
Willing to do formal training? Yes

Do you have a veterinarian?

No

Vet contact info:
{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
If we see the mistake happening in real time, we would guide the puppy to show it their actions are not good, and direct them towards a more appropriate behavior.

Discipline:
With corgis being excitable, being cold to the corgi will deliver the message that its actions are not welcome. Also, we've read a timeout area like a pen would be useful to curb unwanted behaviors.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In our main area of the living/dining room.

People at home during the day?
Yes, there are few times someone isn't home.

Where would dog eat?
We have space by our dining room/kitchen to set aside to create an area where the corgi could eat.

Where would dog sleep:
It would depend on where the corgi feels most comfortable. If it would like space, we have a spare room where we can have it's bed. If it would like to be by us, we could accommodate it in our master bedroom.

Play & exercise:
We have a park across the street from our condo with plenty of room for a corgi to run around. We also have space within our condo for it to run around (about 2,200 sq. ft.).

How will you exercise your dog?
