Who is this dog for?

Me. I live alone with my 2 male corgis in a rural area with a fenced in yard.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I like the herding group, and corgis have been a good fit size wise for me. I love the personality and intelligence of the breed.

I would consider myself an experienced corgi owner and find them to be a joy to own – easy to train (very food oriented), low maintenance (other than shedding) and just all around wonderful dogs.
I have found that they can be strong willed and sometimes require that the household Alpha (me) take a firm stand. I have found that a tired corgi is a well behaved corgi.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I walk a lot for my own health, and like to have company on that walk. If not working, I am home spending time with my herd.
I can also send pictures of my very large (1/2 acre+) fenced in yard with a dog door.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:

Discipline:
Verbal, then crate

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
I have a dog door that leads into my breezeway (connected to the living room), and connected to the fenced in yard. There is also a sunroom and concrete covered porch that is inside the fenced in yard. There is always water available for the group.
