Who is this dog for?

Myself

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I am somewhat educated on Corgi's. A good friend of mine has one, a female. I'd like a companion for my lab. She loves all dogs, was raised with 10 dogs, and is very sweet. I've always loved the breed!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I want good listening, respect, and enjoyment. I would enlist a trainer as I did for my girl. The trainer came to the house for 6 weeks. Practice, practice, practice! Throwing the ball, walking, resting on the deck, enjoying the sun, and each playing with each other! This would be my 4th rescue of dogs. My original lab lived until she was 14 years old! I would love her to death!!!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Correct it, train for other behavior, reward. No harsh words or physical touching.

Discipline:
No rewards, treats until better behavior! Train, repeat, train, repeat. I am not mean or physical or yelling at a dog.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
With me as I am retired. I like my dogs close to me 24/7!!

House dog

People at home during the day?
Yes, me.

Where would dog eat?
In the kitchen along with my other dog! Separate if necessary as I do not want to provoke aggressive behavior. Whatever, wherever it takes.

Where would dog sleep:
Hopefully, with me. If not, in my room on her bed.

Play & exercise:
Any opportunity that presents itself! Playing with them, walking, etc. Play is good to expend energy. I walk daily, live on a lake in the rural country, have a dog run that is not enclosed to restrict movement, I have considered doggy pet care for exercise and play.
