Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love the Pembroke Welsh Corgi's personality, they are intelligent and friendly and seem like excellent companions based on the ones I've interacted with. Also of course they are very cute.

I have researched the breed and in particular read The New Complete Pembroke Welsh Corgi by Deborah S. Harper, which a breeder named Lesa Daugherty from Michigan recommended to me.


Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Walks around neighborhood, lake-shore trail, dog parks, possibly hiking or something else like agility courses if it is recommended or the corgi is used to it. I do have a car.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		It depends on the mistake, but talk to the dog/talk to it in a sterner tone and not positively reinforce the behavior by doing something like giving a treat or petting afterwards.

Discipline:
 Withholding treats/affection, taking a firmer tone with the dog, reinforcing good behavior with treats and petting, etc… I am not an expert in this area but would like to learn more.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
 In my decently-sized apartment.

 Go for walks around the neighborhood/drive to the suburbs for walks in more open space. Walk along the lakefront path and take the dog to a nearby dog park.

I am also open to hiking or taking the corgi to agility courses if they would enjoy it.
