Who is this dog for?

Our family pet.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
My family has researched the breed. We know corgis to be quite playful and smart. We are also drawn to the size of a corgi, as it is ideal for our family. We have family friends who have had numerous positive experiences with this breed.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We live in an area that will provide a great deal of outdoor space for a dog. We look forward to long walks, chasing balls, and playing with other dogs if appropriate.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Money for basic care?

Yes

Money for unforeseen medical expenses?
Yes

Willing to house train?
Yes
Willing to do formal training? Yes

Do you have a veterinarian?

Yes

Vet contact info:
{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
We would redirect the Corgi to another activity. If the mistake has to do with potty training, we would take the dog outside and reward him/her when they go to the bathroom outside. We do not yell or hit animals in our home.

Discipline:
We would attend training classes if necessary, but generally we would give our pet toys of their own to play with, redirect them as necessary, and make sure they are not bored and get plenty of outdoor exercise.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
In our home with 3-4 family members and outdoors in our surrounding neighborhood.
