Who is this dog for?

Both of us and our rescue pup (she is an 8 year old beagle corgi mix)

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We have fallen in love with the corgi aspects of our current rescue pup. She is playful but always willing to cuddle. We love that balance. She demands attention and we are always willing to show her all the love we have for her. We also love her sploots (: we have definitely researched the breed and are ready for all our future corgi has to offer.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We go on daily walks around the lake by our house. Our current dog doesn’t like to play with toys, but if our corgi does, we will gladly play with them inside and outside our house. We also like to play in other ways such as chase. We will also partake in obedience training with our pup. We see it as a o ding experience as well as a learning and growth opportunity for them.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Depending on the mistake, it’s either a quick “tsst” sound to make them stop or it’s by redirecting the behavior and rewarding the good behavior

Discipline:
Never do we discipline. We stop bad or dangerous behaviors (as said above) and reward good behaviors.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Inside the house or our fenced in yard. Our current dog also likes to spend time in her crate, which is left open for her to choose to go in there. We will also provide a crate for our corgi.
