Who is this dog for?

This Pembroke is for our family. Our previous Pembroke passed last week after a long battle with DM and Kidney Cancer.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We have previously adopted two Pembrokes. the first died of old age 10 years ago His age was unknown, but, it was estimated to be at least 14. Our second passed recently at the age of 13 from cancer. He also had Degenerative Myelopathy for which we used both a wheel chair and a sling to carry his hind side. We love the personality, loyalty and outgoing friendliness of the breed. Their smile melts our heart.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We have a fenced in back yard so we would like to play fetch and run around with him/her. We also walk several times per week and would take him for walks in the neighborhood or local park. Likewise, it's always nice to just have a lap dog to pet while we rest in the living room, etc.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Living in the house with our family. We have two children (18 and 20 years old) who are remote learning from home so most of the dog's time would be freely roaming the house. We do have a crate with a bed in that we keep the door open for our dog to use when they want some privacy or if it's needed if we run errands.
