Who is this dog for?

For the applicants, as in, us.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We love the energy and bondingbthat comes from having a corgi. We have not had a chance to have our own. We like that Corgis are smart and playful. We have researched how to best care for a corgi. We want to make sure that if we adopt one that we can provide him with the best care.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
We would redirect him. We would use a directive tone but not harsh so as to not spook him. We would emphasize the word "no" to help him associate the word with him needing to not continue to act out.

Discipline:
We don't hit dogs. If he soils a part of the house we bring him to it, and emphasize the "no" routine. If his behaviors are pretty significant, we would place him in his crate for a time out. Good behavior will be rewardee with treats or positive affirmation.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Inside the house. He will have a crate but only for sleeping, redirection or if we're not in the home.
