Who is this dog for?

myself and spouse

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have had this breed for almost 15 years, previously owning another corgi, as well as Goldens and Labs. I went to this breed becausee I heard they were like a big dog in a "little dog suit". I found them to be intelligent, loving and so loyal. I did research the breed (Penbroke) prior to owning my first corgi and then when she was four, bought my present male. He was lost without her when she died, but after a few months, bonded to me. He is a wonderful dog.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We walk seven days a week from four to seven miles total. I take him off lease most of the time to nearby parks or we walk in the neighborhood on lead. He is able to stay outside most of the day when I am home as we have an invisible fence. The stimulation of being in the outdoors so much of the time is wonderful for him!
