Questions Regarding Motivation for Adopting and Intentions
Who is this dog for? |
Myself | ||||||
Why do you want a Pembroke? |
I love corgis because I feel like they are a smaller version of a husky, which is my favorite dog. I have done research on the breed as well as visited homes in which a corgi resides. I have never personally owned one, but I feel I would get along real well with one and provide all the love and care it needs.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: |
I would in a stern, but calm and reassuring manner tell the Pembroke no. If the Pembroke does not listen, I will refer back to obedience training at what the best approach would be to ensure the Pembroke will not make the mistake again. Mistakes happen and the Pembroke should not be punished for doing something it did not mean to do, but also needs to learn not to make the same mistake again.
Discipline: |
In past experiences I would put the dog in the cage, but would always do so calmly without any form of agitation toward the dog. I want the dog to know I still love him/her, but also know that what they did was wrong and they cannot do it again. I NEVER hit dogs, or any animal for that matter. I love animals of all kinds.
Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time: |
At the house, in the yard, at pet friendly parks
