Who is this dog for?

Alec and Madeline

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have owned a corgi mix in the past. We love the breed and understand they are herding dogs and have a lot of energy. I have experience fostering multiple dogs and adopting from a rescue. We have done a lot of research over the years and understand this breed is not for people who just want a cute dog with a wiggly butt, and are fully prepared to be corgi owners.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Play with toys, cuddle, daily walks, unleashed dog park, introduce to our friends and family pets as play dates.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
We are firm believers in positive reinforcement. That is how we plan do for our training. Training a dog is much like working with a child. Patience and understanding is important. We will NEVER resort to any sort of violence. If it is a potty related issue, immediately take them outside to where they should be going. Using command words as well as hand signals for training.

Discipline:
Separation from the situation or animal. Crate training. Commands, no pull harnesses for walking. Obedience classes

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Free reign of our home once potty trained. Crate training or baby gates in safe area as well
