Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We have researched the breed. We love their playful, energetic nature and think that a corgi would be a wonderful addition to our family. Our daughter loves to play outside. We are a fairly active family – mostly walking – and we know we could care and love for a corgi.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Fetch/catch in the back yard. Walks to the parks and forest preserves. Our daughter would love a snuggle buddy as well!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		Quickly and verbally say NO to the dog so he/she know what they did was wrong. Redirect their attention to something positive. Try to understand why the dog is doing this in the first place. Are they bored? Need attention? Need to let off some energy?

Description of yard:

 No swimming pool. We are in a split level with two 'half-flights' of stairs. So, five stairs to go up to the upper level and five stairs to get down to the lower level. Our backyard has a full privacy fence one ONE SIDE of the yard (the west side) with a shorter picket fence along the southern boundary – the east side is open. So, it is not a fully fenced yard.
