Who is this dog for?

For my family that includes my wife, daughter, senior beagle, and myself.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
Our current dog is a beagle, but we are fairly confident she is mixed with a corgi, which we love her temperament and playfulness (not as much since she's gotten older). We've done months of research of the temperament of corgis and their loving, playful personalities, which we would love to have a apart of our family.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Traveling to see friends and family across numerous states since I've been active duty Army for 21 years. Regular walks in an extremely dog friendly neighborhood. In addition to playing in the backyard that is fully fenced in with a 7' privacy fence.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Most mistakes are due to boredom so redirecting their attention is what I've found works well.

Discipline:
Up front, continuous training worked great when I adopted my pitbull, so I would continue with that method. I don't believe in yelling or causing undue stress for my dogs or family since it never achieves desired results.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
With the family in the house.
