Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I did a lot of research on choosing the right breed before deciding to get my first dog (as a young adult). Corgis were my top pick, and I bought a beautiful red and white Pembroke puppy, Andy, who was my constant companion for over 16 years.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I hope they want to play fetch. Walks in the park and dog park visits are fun. I am a former dog trainer so some amount of obedience training and possibly something like agility courses or flyball also if the dog is interested.

Discipline:
 Remove the offending scenario. Remove attention for bad behavior, redirect towards correct behaviors. I don't like the word "discipline" here, I don't think punishment does much to correct bad habits.

 With the family or in a crate. The crate will be mostly for sleeping in.

 Our property is fenced on two sides, has a bush line on a short side of the property that is adjacent to a neighbor's yard and the last side of the property is along a very private, dead-end dirt road. The only fixtures are raised garden beds.
