 I want to adopt a Pembroke Welsh Corgi because corgis are my FAVORITE. I adore their personalities that tend to be sassy/sweet. I love that they are very intelligent and quick to learn (despite being a bit stubborn and headstrong).

Yes, I have done research on the breed and am aware of potential health concerns with hips, spine, and eyes.

 We have a male English Cocker Spaniel who has a lot of energy, so we make frequent trips to wildlife areas where he can run free. Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have done some reading on this breed and feel their temperament would be a perfect fit for our family. As a child, I grew up with miniature dachshunds and I have always loved the short legged/long body dogs. I have wanted to adopt a Pembroke for years.

 We are a family that likes to spend time outdoors. If our Pembroke was up to it, there would be plenty of opportunity to come along on hikes with the kids or just hang out in the yard with us. We are looking to add another member to our family.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		It depends on the mistake. We believe that removing obstacles that would create issues is the best way to prevent issues in the first place. For example, keeping the house tidy so that the Pembroke would not be tempted to chew on unsafe objects. Also, frequent trips outside to use the bathroom so that accidents inside are less likely to happen.

 We know that training a dog is an ongoing endeavor. We use positive reinforcement of good behaviors and gently correct poor behaviors. We do our best to assess all contributing factors of bad behaviors and make corrections to set them up for success.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 When I was a kid, I owned a dog for a few years and haved dreamed of owning a dog now as an adult. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi has especially caught my eye in the last few years and now I would swear is one of the most adorable breeds out there. To me, they radiate joy and happiness. That is the kind of dog I want to own/adopt! Their "fluffiness" is something I love to think about too. Owning a Pembroke Welsh Corgi that is full of smiles, joy, happiness and cuddles seems like a dream come true to me.

The only experince I have with Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed is through friends and that is mostly knowledge. However, for enjoyment, I look up Corgi videos because why not? There are amazing! This extreme enjoyment has led me to do actual research on the breed as a whole and what not. Even though the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and like breeds are high maintence, I am still fascinated by them.

 I am active person myself and would love to share energetic activities with said Corgi. This includes playing fetch, frisbee, walking, runnning (if able), playing at home and sharing said Corgi with others and letting dog share their smiles, joy and happiness with others.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have a male Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He is a wonderful pup. He is probably about 14 years old. We adopted him when he was 2-4 years old. We have had him almost 11 years now. He came down with DM a little over a year ago. He is still a happy camper. He has a boisterous personality, has mellowed since his DM kicked in. Loves being around his family. Not shy, very good with people and other dogs and cats. We got him to be a buddy for my Collie and they were great buddies.

 Walks, a little swimming, traveling in or RV, dog parks. He would work with our Collie to herd the other dogs at the dog park. Training for doing tricks. My guy now has a cart for short walks, a stroller when we go on longer walks or I have a backpack so he can go on walks that way too.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We have been researching for a while. My 17 year old son has wanted a corgi since he was very little but the timing wasn’t right till now. I like the size of Corgi’s. We looked into getting an Aussie as well but I’m leaning towards a Corgi. I like that they are very smart and trainable and so full of personality. Plus I want a loyal and affectionate family dog. I am aware that they are heavy shedders but I am prepared for that.
