 I think they are absolutely adorable. I really want a small dog as an ESA and have done tons of research. Corgis make very good ESAs.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		Scold him or her. If s/he is chewing on something their not supposed to I take away the item scold them by saying no or naughty. Once the dog is happy again I then would give them a toy or bone appropriate for chewing on.

 We are corgi fanatics!
We imagine that after the pandemic based puppy buying frenzy is over, there will be many pets in need of re-homing.
If this does happen, and you find gently used Corgis in need of adoption, we want to be on the list. We considered getting 2 puppies now, but ended up only getting one. We have the capacity and desire for more.

 We love the breed because it is compact but has the spirit of a big dog and is very agile. Also, who wouldn’t love the Queen of England’s preferred breed?

 Family activities- daily walks, long walks on the weekend, go to the dog beach in Evanston, we would like a god we can take with us to most places. Maybe even train the dog as a support animal as I am a special education teacher and have an interest in bringing support dogs to my school.

 Yes- there are people home most of the day. My husband works from home in the mornings while the kids are at school and then my 4 year old is home with the nanny in the afternoon.

 The food they come with and if it is a high quality dog food and the dog likes it we will continue with that brand. If it is not high quality we use to buy Canidae for our old dog and if that is considered a good brand still we would continue with that. I am also interested in feeding the dog raw food but would need to do research and talk to a vet before that.

 Tough call- where does the corgi already sleep? Are they used to a crate or open bed? I would like to crate them at night but also might need a snuggle at night or the kids might need a snuggle. It would be an evolution but start with crating at night.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have always had a love for corgis. I love that they are small where it wont feel cramped in an apartment. I love that they are loyal and smart. basically a big dog, in a little dog body. I Love that they are heard dogs and like to be active and respond well to training.

 I live right by a park and would taken them out and play fetch and let them run around! I will take them on walks and take them to the dog beach!

 You have to be able tot ell your dog no when he or she are misbehaving. I do not agree with cruel punishment like throwing your dog around or taking away food. you give them a treat when they are good and either raise your voice and slap them on the bum so they know what is right and wrong.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 My husband and I have recently moved into an apartment from a home with a fenced yard; we have owned Labrador retrievers for 30 years, 2 raised as pups and 10 adopted as "senior" rescues from a breed-specific rescue group. We are lonely without a dog!, our building size limit is 25 lbs ("give or take"), and we do not have experience with "small" dogs. I want a small dog with the temperament and personality of a big dog; corgis are breed to do a dog's work, I don't care about the hair (can't be any worse than labbie hair). My experience is limited to meeting the corgis of acquaintances and what I've learned about the breed from on-line research, canine-match questionnaires, and all-breed guidebooks.

 Long walks on nearby trail, "relieve" outings in large fenced dog park for building; would consider obedience / agility classes / etc. if activity level of the specific dog adopted would enjoy this.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		???? After 30 years as a dog owner, I'm not sure what this means! Dogs are dogs!!! If s/he pees or poops in the house – shame on owner for not paying better attention. If s/he gets caught chewing on something that isn't its chew thing, take it away and gently scold. If s/he eats something it shouldn't – trip to the vet if it's toxic or harmful.

 Our hope is right by the side of his/her new human mom and dad! Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love the way corgis show there love. My roommates corgi mix Honey cuddles up to me all the time, she gives me lots of licks and love. She loves going for walks and once warms up to dogs she gives them lots of love too. I had always wanted a corgi and after meeting Honey she’s furthered my love and appreciation for the breed.

 This is for me and my 10yr old daughter. My daughter loves animals, but she never had a dog. We have a 2 yr old cat, who is looking for excitement.

 I have had dogs before. I wanted this type of breed because I have heard that they are great with children. My daughter loves corgis and every time we go to the city and see a corgi she jumps with joy. I love this breed because they are just the right size for me and my daughter.
