Why do you want a Pembroke?
 My Corgi passed 2 weeks ago after 17 years. Her last day she was still trying to move to be with me and I picked up up, she she just cuddled as I petted her as
she passed away. She was my shadow, and my best friend.

 My corgi loved to walk, to play ball til my arm fell off, to chase geese and squirrels. She loved just laying at my feet. She loved laying with the cats, she loved being in everything. At age 10 she had hip surgery and she was then again running around like a puppy. Surgery at Care Animal Hospital in Arlington Hts, Il.

Mike Daidone is a famous dog trainer and a great friend of mine. If I need help he will help me.

Discipline:
 scoulding and reinforcing training, I never caged a dog and will not start.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
 Nicer weather, my corgi loved to be outside til dinner time. Fenced, secured yard with camera. My other dog, never left the yard even if the gate was open.
Other times in the house. Night time, sleeping in the bedroom, by the dresser, but that never works as by morning she was always next to the bed or under the bed with the nose sticking out. Both house dog and outside dog. Person with key for yard is landscaper and he makes sure the dog is accounted for and safe while he is there and when he leaves.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have done a lot of research on the breed and believe it is perfect for my living conditions. I currently rent the lower of a house and have a backyard. I am allowed to have a dog under certain breed and weight restrictions and a corgi falls within those restrictions. I also like the overall personality of a corgi.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		I believe in positive reinforcement. For example, if the Pembroke went potty indoors, I would then take the dog outside, allowing the dog to make the connection to go outside. When the dog goes to the bathroom outside, I would give him or her a treat and love.

 I would say "no" every time the Pembroke did something wrong, eventually making him understand that "no" is bad.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have done extensive research on this breed and have friends and neighbors who are owners so I’ve talked to owners and been around this breed. I grew up with herders (German shepherds) and owned a Sammy-Golden retriever-chow mix for 14 years until he passed away Feb 2019. I want a dog that is smaller but has herder characteristics. There dogs tend to be smart, trainable, and loyal. I just want a smaller breed this time around. Also, my daughter has spend a considerable amount of time with Winston, our neighbors Corgi, and she has decided this is the dog for her. I want her to be invested and choosing the dog breed is part of that process. We are ready for a little guy or gal to join our family of two.

 Walking, traveling, lake time, dog parks, cuddling, yard play, learning new tricks, visiting grandma in Nebraska at her farm, going to work with mom at the university, and so on. I anticipate this new family member will do everything with us!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		It depends on the mistake, but typically the best way to train dogs is via positive reinforcement. If a dog is chewing on a shoe, you take the shoe away and replace it with an appropriate chew toy and praise them when they do the right thing.

 We would like to adopt a Pembroke Welsh Corgi because we love everything about the breed from the cute little paws, the way they sploot when they sit, and their cute little smiles. Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I'm a senior citizen and have had dogs all my life. I have been owned by 6 previous Corgis that needed a retirement home. My experience with the breed has been 'hands on'. I love the alertness and playfulness of the breed, as well as the dog's ability to be quiet and snooze near me and on my bed. Why do you want a Pembroke?
 Kim and I have done a ton of research on potential breeds and we believe a Corgi would be perfect for us. Our landlord restricts sizes to dogs under 50 lbs and we're both very active. Kim teaches yoga and is around the apartment during the day. I work in an office that is dog friendly and would love to take the dog with me to work. We both do lots of activities around the neighborhood and would love to have a Corgi companion.

 We live near the lake and love going to the park in the summer. We also take lots of walks around our neighborhood. Kim and I also own a car, so whenever we take trips or go places we'd love to bring the Corgi with.

 We want to adopt a Penbroke Welsh Corgi because of their personality, their size, their playfulness, and the fact that they are one of the most adorable dog breeds. We have encountered Corgis in our neighborhood while taking our dogs on walks and also at the dog park. Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I am a corgi nut. I have had other family members who owned corgis and fell in love with their temperaments. When I received my own corgi, it just felt right. It is a breed I understand and enjoy working with. Over the last 8 years, I have not only found myself other friends with great knowledge of the breed but I also have connections with breeders internationally who have spend much time with me to ensure I had all of the health information as well. I love the Pembroke but while in Germany, the cardigan was a little more popular and I can say that I am well versed in the Welsh corgis as a whole!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 It is much harder to go out with my dogs here in the US so we mainly stick to parks, walks, and lots of play dates with other dogs and human friends. When we lived in Germany for 4 years, our corgi came with us EVERYWHERE. There were not may times he was home alone. Always out socializing, a lot of walking/touring, enjoying time with us in restaurants, and many car rides. My corgi has a love for tennis balls and "attacking" the shower, water hose, etc..

 I am a full-time student and work part-time but I am home during the day when I can be. Right now, I have 1 full-day of school, 2 other days where It is only the morning or afternoon. I am a firm believer in take the dogs with when you can and if we are gone extended times of the day, have someone come check on the dogs.

Where would dog eat?
 Our hound rescue had serious food guarding when we first got him so he ate in his own enclosed area. Since both dogs eat within the same room at opposite ends and have learned to respect the space of the other dog until they walked away from their bowl. The dogs are never left unattended while eating just as a precaution. If there is a need for more space, I simply give them their own room for eating.

Where would dog sleep:
 Our hound mix sleeps in our son's room on his bed, and our corgi sleeps on our bed or the futon at the end of the bed depending on how much room he would like. The entire room is open to the dogs and would rather they sleep where comfortable.

Play & exercise:
 Have multiple dogs has its perks with play and excercise. Our corgi is not a "lets get crazy and play but our rescue LOVES to play. Our corgi loves tennis balls so we ensure plenty of time in the day to let him chase them. We go for walks as often as we can or take them to the dog park to burn off energy.
