Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I had a lovable tri-color Pembroke Welsh Corgi in the past and love the breed! Bruce, my Corgi, had a wonderful mellow personality. All my family and friends loved Bruce! He traveled with me at times when I was on vacation. He knew some tricks and and loved his yellow tennis ball. He tried to talk and it was so cute! I loved taking him on walks! I know Corgis are herding dogs. I took excellent care of him!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Go for walks. I live next door to a park and would take him or her there to play. I also live by a beautiful walking trail and would take him or her to walk and get exercise, sunshine and fresh air. I would like to take him or her in the car for car rides for short outings. I would like to take him or her to have play dates with friend's dogs.

Who is this dog for?

 The Pembroke is for me. I recently had to put my red and white Pembroke to sleep, due to illness and age (15 years old), and I am ready to rescue my new best friend.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I had adopted an older Pembroke four years ago and we bonded immediately. Unfortunately, I had to put her to sleep a couple of months ago due to old age (15 years old) and illness and it broke my heart. I loved so many things about her and the breed. I loved that she was so smart, active and playful. Even at 11 years of age we played ball and she would jump off the ground and catch a tennis ball in her month – no problem. I am very active and love that this breed is energetic and playful, but also social with a good disposition. I have done research on the breed and know that they are herding dogs that are very intelligent.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Play ball and go for daily walks. He or she would ride with me in the car and travel to run errands, visit friends and relatives; and when possible accompany me on work excursions. He or she would be brushed every day and have regular trips to the groomers. Looking and smelling good is always important.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		I would verbally tell the dog that they've made a mistake and that they need to go outside. Verbally reinforcing the rules and put the dog outside to illustrate that going the bathroom needs to take place outside. I would be patient and reinforce positive behaviors.

Who is this dog for?

 My husband and I. We recently lost my
Elderly border collie and love the corgi breed. We want to have multiple dogs and plan to have kids so we’d like a friendly dog and one small enough that we could travel by plane with.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 My childhood border collie, Boots, was friends with our two neighbor corgis back in PA. I don’t have a lot of experience with the breed but we want a friendly small dog we can travel easily with, that will be friends with a larger dog that we would leave at home for our travels.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love the breed and have for quite some time. Following several social media accounts, I get daily videos and posts sent my way. I love the breed, the different colors, the cute ears, and of course the butt! I do not have direct experience with this breed, however I have had playful experiences in the past with friends who have had this breed. The research has been done on my end, and what I have read and watched, I do believe I would make a great owner based on my love for the breed, my eagerness to love and interact with the breed, and welcome the dog into my dog-friendly family.

 For my husband and myself.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love their short stature and coloring. I understand that they are high energy and intelligent which I appreciate. I love that they are social and playful, I want a dog who will play well with others. I have done my research, but I do not know anyone who has owned one.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Take it for hikes and walks. Try to take the dog to the beach, wherever they will let us safely take them. We have family members with dogs and we want to be able to take the Pembroke with us to socialize with them.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I went to a corgi parade in Fort Collins, Colorado and absolutely fell in love with the breed. I love how outgoing and affectionate corgis are. I grew up with dachshunds and chihuahuas, so I knew that when it came time to choose a dog for myself, I wanted something on the smaller side. I want to spend as much time as possible with my dog and corgis are known to be great companion dogs. I have done research about corgis and I am ready to live an active lifestyle with an energetic pup!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I want to do everything with my Pembroke! I live in downtown Milwuakee which is such a dog friendly city (seriously- everyone LOVES pups!) so I would love to take my dog out for walks downtown, to eat outside (in the shade of course!) in the summer time, and play with plenty of toys in the house.
