Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have always wanted a corgi because the are are just the right size for a dog. Plus they are cuter than cute. I have researched and read a lot of things about the breed and realize they are herding dogs that need exercise. Instead of buying from a pet store we have chosen to adopt a dog in need (always adopt)

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love Pembroke Welsh Corgis because of their intelligence and inquisitive nature. I appreciate that they were bred as herding dogs. And I truly love their social nature and affinity for humans, other dogs and animals. I enjoy that they are sweet, gentle-natured but also need a lot of enrichment and love to play. I especially love how affectionate they are. I appreciate their affinity for food and would make sure to treat them within reason so that they can stay at a healthy weight for them. I have a soft spot in my heart for dogs, especially Pembroke Welsh Corgis and I would love to be able to love, spoil (with toys) and care for one of these wonderful corgis.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		I would try to prevent this accident from occurring again by using positive reinforcement when they are not performing this behavior. I would never use negative reinforcement training. I am currently studying to become a veterinarian and I know that animal behaviorists know that dogs don't understand or feel "guilty" for something they have done wrong. This is why I believe so strongly in positive reinforcement training.

 We lost our Pembroke Corgi “Chubby this year to degenerative myelopathy. We would like to rescue another Corgi to complete our family.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 My son brought home a free Pembroke Corgi puppy from a lady he met while working at Starbucks. I never heard of this breed before. Chubby was loving and playful . He had 2 surgeries to remove a growth on his paw. We had to nurse that paw half of his life. He was so good he would just roll over and let us apply the medication and baby sock. We fenced in our large yard just for him to run and be safe from predators. His favorite activities were his daily walks around our private subdivision, chasing squirrels and cats that come over the fence. Chasing and retrieving balls of all sizes.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		I have dog and kid friendly manufactured floors so bathroom mistakes and spills are not an issue. If it was a bathroom issue, I would show the dog the mistake. Tell him no, and bring him outside. When he does his business outside he gets praise and a training treat. We raised our Corgi from a puppy and he was house trained very quickly. They are very intelligent dogs and respond to love, praise and treats. We will have the proper chew toys for that issue also.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We love that Pembroke welsh corgis are very intelligent, loving and playful dogs. Their energy levels are perfect for our daily activities. We have also noticed they tend to have a big personality and we love that. We were looking for a smaller dog too so their size is also perfect for us. I personally have not had much expierience with the breed but Siara has had a couple friends that have had Pembroke welsh corgis and have seen their spunky little attitudes in person. I have done research on the breed and made sure that we could create the ideal living environment!

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We want to adopt a Pembroke Welsh Corgi because we think they would be the perfect complement to our little family. We love how friendly and smart the breed is, and I personally relate to them as a short-legged woman! Jokes aside, we have friends that own pembroke welsh corgis and are always so charmed by them and their affectionate personalities. We have done research on the breed and know what kind of health risks they experience (hip dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, etc.) and have been preparing financially to take on that responsibility.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 We have tons of plans for our potential future Pembroke! Since we know they are a herding dog by nature and have lots of plans to put time aside for long walks and play. We live near a dog park and in a neighborhood with plenty of other dogs to meet. If our potential Pembroke is okay with children, we have nephews that will definitely help wear him out!

 Our Pembroke would live with us in our apartment. To compensate for a slightly small living space we plan to take long time walks a few times a day.

 The Pembroke is for myself and my other Pembroke.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have had three corgis and currently have one. I have done extensive research and have extensive experience owning one. I love everything about the Corgi. I have never met an unfriendly Corgi, which I love.

 Walk, swim, take him or her with me to all possible places. I do not like the thought of keeping my best friend in a cage. So I only go to non-caged groomers and will not stay in a hotel if they do not accept dogs.
