Who is this dog for?

 Our family. It is me (Amy), my husband (Jordan) and our three kids – ages 14, 10, and 6. We love corgis and would like to add one to our family!

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 After dog sitting a corgi, I totally fell in love. The pup I watched felt like a human to me, he had so much personality. He talked to me a lot and was incredibly affectionate. And who could not adore those short little legs?!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 We would take lots of walks and go to the dog park near our house (Grand Ravines dog park). We also take our current dog with us whenever possible, so we would love a dog that travels well.

Who is this dog for?

 This Pembroke is for my father whom loves dogs.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I want to adopt a Pembroke because I have owned this breed in the past and really enjoyed how friendly and sweet they can be. Recently our Boston Terrier, Roxie, pasted away and she helped my father through his hard times with back surgeries and always kept his feet warm. I would like to adopt a Corgi to comfort my father and keep him strong with a best friend. He has had a hard time without his Roxie and I know a Buddy (that is going to be the Corgi's name) will be that best friend. I have done extensive research on the breed and can provide a loving home for him/her.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 We have a park within a mile and my father must walk to the park and back to help with recovery from the back surgery and his best friend Roxie used to go with and I know Buddy would be great to help with that too. Would also enjoy relaxing on the couch or bed, playing with toys in the living room, and hanging outside in the backyard with my dad by the pool.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 My parents own a PW corgi, and I also lived with a roommate who had a corgi, so I have spent a lot of time with them. I love that they are “big dogs” with big personalities that are athletic, silly, energetic, and sweet but on short legs. We want a dog that can hike and go on short runs with us. I have done a lot of research on dog training and attending training classes with the dog I grew up with and am looking forward to working with a bright (if maybe somewhat stubborn) dog that wants to learn!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		Depends on what mistake. A potty mistake is usually the humans fault for not taking the dog out often enough or not reading the dogs signals. Otherwise, Avoiding rewarding poor behavior with affection or giving into what the dog wants (i.e not letting dog pull on leash forward, instead change direction when dog pulls) and instead rewarding the appropriate behavior.

Discipline:
 See above question: most of the time ignore/ avoid rewarding bad behavior and instead reward good behavior. If it’s something that is really serious, I learned in a dog training class to do a quick loud sound like “eh!!” to get the dogs attention so you can redirect them.

Who is this dog for?

 I would like to adopt a Pembroke Welch Corgi to get him or her certified to become a therapy dog to take into hospitals, nursing homes, and schools as well as individual homes where I provide care. At home the dog would be treated as a member of my family.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I am part Welch myself (Maiden name is Jones) and I did my research on the Corgi's as a good breed to have as a therapy dog. I am open to mixed corgi breed with collie, german shepherd, lab, or retriever mixed, but also looking for a smaller dog. Not interested in a border collie corgi mix though.

 At home the corgi would be exercised twice daily with walks and playing in the back yard. During the day he/she would accompany me with to interact with my clients. Who is this dog for?

 My boyfriend, which lives with me. He has always wanted a Pembroke since he was little. A Pembroke is his dream dog. He also has wanted to be able to provide a loving and fun home for a dog in need. His birthday is coming up on November 16th, so I am trying to surprise his on his birthday.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 As earlier stated, a Pembroke welsh corgi is my boyfriends dream dog since he was a child. He has not always had much growing up for his parents are immigrants from China, so he learned to always take well care of what you love. He thinks they are way cute and adorable. He also searched how much they would cost, so he has waited till he is older, therefore he would have the means to give his baby girl/boy what they need and desire. He also searched that they are great animals which are keen on your emotions, which he wants due to do because his immense intelligence, he is very harsh on himself at time and he believes a Pembroke welsh corgi will help his emotions stabilize. He also so badly wants to recue any type of animal for he hates the thought of any animal being treated horribly. But I found a rescue site for Pembroke welsh corgi dogs, and this will allow his complete dream to be fulfilled.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 We would take him/her on daily walks with our Dachshund. Also, take them to to dog parks. We would show them immense affection and fun,

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I haven't done that much research in a corgi but I have always wanted a corgi and I know they fit my more sedentary lifestyle than a husky would. I don't know any experience except with meeting my girlfriend's cousin's corgi and I enjoyed being able to play with her.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I am willing to do whatever is necessary for the corgi, given it is not super active. We have another dog so they can play together but I will play with it a good amount and take it on necessary walks. As far as I know, they don't need a tremendous amount of exercise but I will still do daily walks and still play with it everyday.
