Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love their spunk, their little attitudes. They are usually pretty funny souls. We have one, Penny, I found her at 6 months old at a local shelter. She was our love at first sight, I wasn't even there to adopt, I was there to see what items they needed from the store.

 We do everything with our dogs, we never had children, so they are our kiddos. Camping, hiking, boating. We have 4 acres, but a section is fenced in for the dogs in the back yard. We do take them out front or in the fields to run and play.

 In our home, with the other dogs. Always with us. If the new addition likes or needs to be in a crate while we are not home that is usually how we start out with the new additions, until everyone is safe and comfortable in the home.

 Hopefully in our bed! 🙂 Crate if he or she wants. It's really what the dog needs from us to feel safe.

 Everyday! The girls run and play all evening after work until they are pooped out and are ready to cuddle up and watch tv.

 I love corgis because of how smart and loving they are. I have met a friends corgi and love her so much. I love their coloring because it is similar to a beagles and I have always had beagles in my families home. I have done a ton of research and will definitely be adopting one at some point in my life.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have had Pembrokes off and on since I was thirteen years old. The first one I saw attracted me by the foxy facial expression, mildly mischievous behavior and endurance. He was also a show dog and won several group firsts and placements. My most recent Corgi was a rescue when I lived in San Francisco. I have also owned a Cardigan, a Japanese Akita Inu and and Entlebucher Mountain Dog

 We would love to own a corgi! They are a adorable and a perfect size for a condo. We love how intelligent and loyal they are.

 We live in front of Lincoln Park zoo and the park/lake path, so we would take our corgi on daily walks through the park and along Lake Michigan. We would also take our corgi to the nearby dog park and dog beach in the summer, as well as weekly puppy classes to make sure the corgi was well trained and adjusted. Why do you want a Pembroke?

I wanted to adopt a corgi for, I guess, a silly reason. I wanted to be like Queen Elizabeth with her having a lot of them and always thought they were super cute. I love how they look like loaves of bread and I feel like it would be the perfect dog for me since I am also short like they are. I also love how their personalities are.

I have done some research on this breed and actually had a great experience being around them I went to a Corgi gathering where everyone brought a corgi and wanted to play with all of them and also have a friend who owns one that I enjoyed playing with.


Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Kyle and I, Marisa, would definitely be taking our Pembroke on many walks and possibly the dog park when we feel they are ready for it. We would also play with toys and teach them new tricks. We would also maybe take them on trips up north at my, Marisa's, family cottage to explore. There are just so many activities we would like to do with our Pembroke.

If the Pembroke makes a mistake, I would try to figure out a way to correct them. I wouldn't yell, but make my tone sound disappointed in a way to let the dog know that it doesn't need to be scared of me, but to trust me.

I guess it would really depend on what the mistake would be. If it was, let's say, peeing in the apartment, I would bring them to the spot they peed at and tell them, "No. We do that outside, not inside." and bring them outside to correct them.

 I, Jessica, grew up with herding dogs and prefer their demeanor but love Corgis since they are a bit smaller than the others. Our current dog is, we believe, a Corgi mix and we love her personality and big ears. Why do you want a Pembroke?
 My husband and I love all of our previous interactions with corgis. We love their short legs and curious faces. Their activity level seems to also fit with our lifestyle. We have purchased several corgi guidebooks and have been reading through in our spare time.

 My husband and I love to hike, usually around the 4 mile mark. We also love to walk around our very dog friendly neighborhood. Beer gardens in the summer are a must.

 Me mostly. Michael will love it too though.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 Yes, I researched. She has similar traits of our current border collie and my deceased fox terrier rolled into one. They are social so she should get along with Josie our mostly outside dog, 3 cats (all adopted), 9 chickens we rescued, and 2 macaw parrots rescued. Easy to train and please as she wants to please us too.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Provided she and Josie get along which I'm sure they would, then they both get to go on one daily excursion to various waterfalls in the area, remote walking trails, etc. as that's what Josie gets every day. Besides that, this is 2.5 acres in the boonies so lots of room to run. We have a K-nine ring shooter, lots of tennis balls and frisbees. And, she can chase the chickens back when they get too close to the creek here. 🙂 At nap time and night time, she'll be on my lap or near me/us.

When hubby gets home, he'll take them both for a trip somewhere to walk, like Heyman Falls, Maple Hills X-Country, etc.

 Ranch home on 2.5 acres with Mill Creek down the hill behind the house. We have chickens and a coop outside, and a couple of outside pet cats. Quite a ways out front is the road, which probably has only 8 – 10 cars on it a day. A farmer with horses and donkeys is across the road, and all around us is farmer fields.
