Why do you want a Pembroke?
 What I love about this breed is their similarities to larger breeds but in a smaller package! I have met several Corgis and they seem to have a loyal, loving and happy temperament. They seem to be great companions which is important to me. I have researched the breed and am aware of their potential health concerns. I am also aware of the training needed to curb their herding tendencies and maybe even stairs training!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		I would be patient and understanding. From what I have read, it is important that negative reinforcement is not too harsh as Corgi's are a "sensitive" breed. I am very sensitive person by nature so I feel I would have no problem being mindful of this.

 I would need to learn more about what is appropriate for the Corgi. I have owned labs and retrievers in the past so what I know about discipline may not be what is best for my new Corgi friend.

 I want to adopt another PWC as a play mate for my current corgi as well as I just love the breed. Their personalities are simply adorable. Definitely a challenge as far as obedience work and being willing to do what is asked but that is just the breed.

 We would go for regular walks, attend obedience classes, doggie daycare. Lots of socializing with other dogs and people.

 Currently my husband is not working and attending school so he is home a lot so very minimal times of no one home with the dogs.

 In the kitchen with the other two dogs. Always supervised because my current corgi likes to get sassy when he’s eating and I have to pick up his dish and remind him that he’s not the boss and needs to just eat his food and not cause issue with my lab. Issue in that he tries to steal his food or bark at him. Nothing major just more of an annoyance.

Where would dog sleep:
 Again until trust is established the corgi would sleep in a crate. Once that trust is established then probably would sleep with my current corgi on a dog bed in our bedroom.

Play & exercise:
 We have a fenced in yard for lots of outdoor time to run around and explore. I also walk my dogs regularly, take them to obedience and agility classes as well as doggie daycare once a week.

Who is this dog for?

 This corgi would be for our small family of 3. Kathryn grew up with a rescued corgi, and we both love the breed. We lost our own family dog due to old age, after rescuing her 10 years ago. Now, we want to adopt another rescued corgi for our son to grow up with and to complete our family.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I grew up with a rescued corgi. I loved him because he was sweet, cuddly, friendly, playful, and smart. He had the attitude of a big dog, but was stuck in that adorable little corgi body. He loved doing whatever the family wanted to do, whether laying on the couch or going for long walks. We loved him so much, he really made an impact on us. We know the breed well, and have done research on them as well.

 With our corgi, we would play inside and out, go for long walks, and go for short daytrips as a family. We would also cuddle with him, keep him or her well groomed, and brush out that soft-fuzzy, ever-shedding hair! Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have done a good amount of research on the breed. I've always wanted a Corgi because not only are they unquestionably adorable , but a very versatile and friendly breed. They can be active and alert guard dogs, but when the work day is over they can be loving lap dogs who love to cuddle. I live in an apartment so they would be perfect size as well. I know that Corgi's tend to bark, but I hope my friend and I would establish a stable training relationship where they would not be a bother to the neighbors and get my attention in other manners.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I would love to take long walks and hike with my Corgi friend. There are a few dog parks around to throw a ball and run around together. Given that a Corgi from Lakeshore is undoubtedly well-mannered, if they are comfortable, they can have play dates with some of my friends' dogs, so they will be well socialized.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have researched the breed and my daughter had a friend in Boyne City who had dogs that she had in agility courses, and she said they were really nice dogs. I like the way they look, and love to be around people. I'm home all day and night since I'm retired and i would be a good companion for the dog.

 The usual of walking the dog, cuddling, and petting it. If the dog like to catch a ball or run after it that would be fine.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		I would remove the dog from the situation, and clean it up if necessary. Later I would praise the dog for good behavior. I would also try distraction from a bad situation.

 Picking the dog up, talking to it, distracting it. I don't believe in hitting a dog or yelling at it. That does not calm done a dog.

Who is this dog for?

 This would be for myself. Previously had a rescue corgi several years ago

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I once took in a rescue corgi several years ago and thats when I learned about this breed of dog. It got along great with my lab mix and became very attached. I do not want a dog that needs to be on a leash . I love how they can become attached to the owner and get along with other people. I have done more research on these dogs and know what to expect. I am financially secure to a dog expense would not be a Burdon

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 We travel a little in the winter so this size is great for that but I would not want anything larger. We live on a lake and my last corgi loved the water and pontoon rides. They can be active and we have plenty of room for that. I'm one that like to take my dog where ever I go so they are not left alone for any length of time.
