Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I currently have a corgi ,who will be 14 years old in August, love her very much. My mother and friends of mine also have corgis that we take for walks and socialize them. They are so much fun to play with,they also love to swim and be included with the all the action going,but then they have their quite time where they like to cuddle next to you on the couch. Every corgi I met has also had their very own unique personality, never the same. I enjoy this breed in so many ways and can't imagine my life without my little corgi.

 I haven't had to discipline her very much at all ,but for example she can take things to aggressively out of my hand and sometimes bite me,so when I give her a treat I sternly tell her to take it nice,and make her sit before giving it to her,and that works

 We have always been big fans of this breed. Not only are they very adorable, but they are also the perfect size and temperament that we are looking for in a dog. We have a friend who has fostered Corgis before and upon meeting her dog we knew this was the kind of dog for us.

We want to make sure that the dog is aware of what mistake was made, but we also want to make sure that our dog is treated kindly. We have also purchased a few books that have information about this that we plan to read in the near future.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love this breed. They are such good, loyal yet protective dogs. I love the personality this breed has as well as the looks and energy. I have had 3 corgis of my own and did foster a dog named Lady for Lakeshore from 2009-2011. Lady was a dog that was pulled from the Detroit Humane Society with mammary tumors, and we were her permanent foster home until her time on Earth was through.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I like to take walks in the local parks and I spend a lot of time outside. I also have horses so I am in the barn a lot. I enjoy spending time just hanging out with my dogs in the house or yard as well. My husband likes to play with them outside in our fenced backyard and go for walks with me when he can.

 A stern no, redirection and training to help the dog understand the right from wrong. We do not abuse or get physically aggressive with our dogs. We have found that stern voice and quick sharp "no" or "eh!" with redirection works well to stop or prevent a behavior. If it is a nipping problem, a stern no and a soft flick to the nose has worked in the past for us, however, flicking is a last resort when the vocal commands did not work.

 In our home. None of our dogs live outside, they are inside dogs that go out to potty or be with us.

 I have always been attracted to the breed, they're like a big dog in a little body. they are active and intelligent. They seem to love their people and have a balanced temperament to strangers and other dogs. (from what I've seen).

 they would be hiking / dog parking daily. I go mushroom hunting and my Bernese accompanies me now, I would think our 2nd dog would as well. I love to paddle board, I'm not sure if Corgi even like the water, but Bernese are not crazy as a rule, but Poppy grew up on the boards and loves every minute.  I like big dogs and she likes little dogs so corgis were the compromise. Medium sized and adorable! Plus cheddar(the corgi) is awesome on the tv show Brooklyn 99. Plus we both follow a lot of corgi pages and her sister owns a corgi in California. It’s the breed we both love and want to have in our life

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I previously owned a pembroke welsh corgi that now lives with my parents, as my father loves her and I got very busy in college for a few years, so he was super excited to take care of her. I'm graduated and have been in my job for almost a year now and have adjusted to my new schedule. My previous corgi is now very comfortable living with my parents and she's also very very old and won't live much longer, so I won't be taking her back. She should live out the rest of her time with them. I visit her often and miss her so much, she was my best friend. I'm now ready to own a corgi again and have the time to care for one and am ready for another best friend.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I live right next to a park so I'd love to take one there with me. There's lots of room to run around and I'd love to teach it to fetch and do other fun things to play. I also don't live far from a dog park so I'd love to watch it interact with other dogs if it gets along well with dogs. My old corgi was a huge snuggle bug, so I'd hope my new corgi will love to snuggle and sleep by me too.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		Repetition and consistency always worked best with my previous corgi. I trained her out of several bad behaviors, such as barking too much, being naughty when I'm eating and begging for food, etc. Being patient and fixing the mistake consistently and with rewards when they don't make the mistake is what always works for me.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love this breed because of how comforting and affectionate they are towards their owners. I am looking to make the corgi an ESA if I have the honor of being accepted. I have read many times over that corgis make great emotional support animals and that they are very loyal to their owners, along with being very intelligent and get along with other animals well, though I also recognize that this can vary from dog to dog and is based on their training.

 I plan to take my corgi on 3 walks a day, possibly runs as I would like to go on morning jogs but I don't feel comfortable doing so alone, but having a dog with me would certainly add comfort. Play & exercise:
 Initially, the corgi will be on a leash. Hopefully, he/she will mature to a point that he can run and play off leash. Also, our girl dane loves to run and play even at her advanced age, she will will love having someone to play with. Our boy is more of a couch potatoe.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I’m never owned a corgi, although I’ve met a few and liked them. My current dogs are quite large and although I want to add to the pack now, before my older dog dies, I need someone that isn’t so big! Even a minivan can only hold so much. I’m hoping to find someone that is sturdy and energetic for hikes with the family, and playing with my other dogs and kids. We also love a good snuggles.
