Who is this dog for?

 It is for me (Rachel). My boyfriend (Donnie) and I bought a house and live together. I have a rescued Dalmatian and am looking for a friend for her!

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love their attitudes and personalities. I know they can be a lot but I love them. One of my good friends has one and just got a second one. My dog has met hers and they got along great. I’ve worked at dog daycares in the past and have met many breeds of dogs and have always loved corgis and hope to add one to the family!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Walks, hikes, playing in the fenced in back yard. Snuggles on the couch. Playing fetch. I will take/do any that the dog likes to do. We spend a lot of time outdoors especially in the summer.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		Calmly correct. I’ve always used positive reinforcement for all training. And keeping a cool head and not freaking out at the dog are key

 I ignore/give no attention to bad behaviors. I do not hit. If really bad I will give my dog a time out in the spare bedroom to let her calm down

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have had many other dogs in my life. Sadie is my first Pembrook.. I love her out going personality, ready to go anytime and her stubbornness is one of the parts I love the most. Reminds me of myself at times!

 We go for walks, go to the dog park looking for new friends. Loves car rides to visit family and the pet store is another favorite. She loves to catch bubbles and look for rabbit poop! Ugh! But she is the best dog I have ever owned.

 I raised a Pembroke Welsch Corgie from a pup. He passed away at 12 years old. I love the intellect and quirky personality, I've also had another herding dog before my Corgi. This dog also passed as a senior dog.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I previously owned a corgi for thirteen years before he passed away. He was a wonderful little dog and now that my boyfriend and I are considering adding a dog to our home, we have been searching for the right fit but nothing seems to compare to a Pembroke. Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We had two Corgis (brothers) for the past thirteen years. Both dogs passed away earlier this fall. Our favorite characteristics of this breed include a playful, friendly nature a self confident intelligent demeanor and a strong sense of family.

 Three a day walks, evening play time and occasional swims at the summer cottage

 We would usually remove the dog from whatever situation may have triggered the offense and have him sit quietly with one of us. In our experience discipline is lot less stressful for all concerned once we establish ourselves as the "alpha" animal in the households. (per the Cesar Millan methodology).
