Who is this dog for?

 It would really be my dog (mom), but obviously needs to be good for the whole family. My girls are 9 and 11 and I tend to have lots of people (friends, kids of friends, family) around the house.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have researched the breed, as well as, met several. I used to read electric and gas meters, therefore had the opportunity to meet lots of different dog breeds. I have always loved the look and personality of the Corgi's.

 When I adopted the love of my life (a Brittany Spaniel mix), 13 years ago, the trainers that I used, used training collars (a.k.a. choke collars), I will NOT go that route again. With that being said, I will be kind of starting over from scratch with my training knowledge.

 On leash, fenced in area with our goats, house play (yes, controlled fetch is allowed indoors at our house! 🙂 ). My dream would be to eventually teach him/her to stay in yard, but it took me approximately 8 years in order to trust my last true love with that responsibility.

Who is this dog for?

 Myself (Lin) and my boyfriend, Alec.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I (Lin) have always wanted a Corgi. They're intelligent, can be stubborn, but affectionate and incredibly playful. I love a dog with a personality and am myself on the short side so need a short-legged companion rather than one that could take me down!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Alec and I hope to take our Corgi to the nearby dog park where there are tons of friendly dogs and owners. The parks near us seem to be managed very well. When I was younger, I lived in a neighborhood outside of the downtown area. We used to take our Labrador Retrievers to nearby dog parks, but they ended up being a bit too aggressive so we opted out of it quickly.

I love the parks near me now because they so much friendlier and better managed. Alec and I take daily walks and always talk about walks with our dog in the future. There's plenty of grass along our routes, which are more so on within neighborhoods and not in the heart of commercial or corporate districts.

I also have three friends who own well-behaved, socialized dogs: a Mini Dachshund (Elmo), a Samoyed (Peanut), and a Labradoodle (Pearl). We're looking forward to playing with the Corgi, helping it socialize with friends, and just be there for anything he/she wants.

 We love the breed. have done extensive research about the breed since once day we hope to add a corgi to our family. I have had a corgi neighboor. We have also gone to a corgi meet-up. Owners let our girls interact with their corgis and answered any questions we had about being a corgi owner.
