Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We are looking for a mid-sized dog that we can bring into our family. After doing research as a family, we have settled on a corgi because of their size and temperament.

We like that they are affectionate, cuddly dogs as well as intelligent ones. We also believe that prior to coming to us, our black lab lived with a corgi as he seems to gravitate to playing with them whenever we run into one.


Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Even outside the pandemic, I work from home, so our corgi will have a person home almost all the time. We look forward to going on walk together. Our kids are eager to play with the corgi and train it to do tricks. We also love taking our dogs to the dog park to socialize with other dogs.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We currently have a PWC and would like another one. We love the breed- we love that they are active and intelligent. We like that they are good with children (our 5 year old) and love the overall disposition of the breed.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Lots and lots of walks, along with going everywhere possible with us. We also do training classes and are interested in more agility training. We will possibly do some herding activities on farms, too.

 For both of us. Jesse really wants a corgi specifically and I want any smaller breed.

 Jesse loves corgis very much. One of my close friends has 2 corgis and she has informed me of the medical care costs and common breed traits. We both feel being full time pharmacists that we are comfortable with the medical care level. We are also open to learning more about them if the Lakeshore Corgis has any training materials to share.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have had Corgis for 28 years. The first grew up with our children and we lost him to a blood disorder at 12 years, the last saw our last two children off to college, and was our companion for 14 years. I love their friendly, outgoing personality, intelligence and love of being around our grandchildren. They were fearless and friendly around other dogs. They both could be stubborn, and both seemed to have a sense of humor. Both were very quickly housebroken as puppies (1 week) and very conscientious about going outside.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Daily walks, 1-3 miles. Watching TV. (our first Corgi like Animal Planet, and reacted differently to the different animals.) Trips to the dog park and the beach. Car travel with us to Florida and Colorado.

 I fell in love with the corgi breed when I adopted a rescue in 2006 he "Odie" passed away in March 2019 he was 13. I also had at the same time a cardigan who died in November last year she "Finola" was 12. I miss them both still very much. I have a very empty home and a hole in my heart. I am familiar with all the mischievious and wonderfully smart and sometimes sassy behavior a corgi can employ. I was once told by a breeder, corgie's are like potato chips, you can't have just one! she was so right.

 My wife grew up around horses and she has always had a herding dog but never a Corgi and she has always wanted one. I am a dog lover and have always thought Corgi's were extremely cute and all of them i have met have had great personalities and were playful. Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We want to adopt a Pembroke Welsh Corgi because we absolutely love the breed. They are a smaller dog which makes it easier to travel with them. They're super smart and like to stay busy. I have done research and know that they need to stay busy and they love to be praised by their owner. I also know they are herding dogs. I have 2 friends with Corgis and they are both amazing dogs.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 We would go for lots of walks, play fetch in the back yard, car rides, trips to friends houses to play with other dogs, and lots of snuggles and pets.
