Why do you want a Pembroke?
 Over my life, my family has had three corgis (two girls and a boy) so I am very familiar with the breed. I am aware that corgis are prone to hip dysplasia as they age and will need extra care. I love the breed because of their personalities. They are very smart, sometimes stubborn, affectionate, and loyal. They require a lot of attention and things that keep them busy. I have the time and resources to give a corgi a great life!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I live right next to the Lakeshore path in Edgewater and have easy access to the dog beach and a few dog parks. I would take the corgi out to the park as often as possible. Growing up in CA, our corgis never saw snow, but I would love to have a corgi that even enjoys running around in the snow. I would also get the corgi toys to stay active while in the house.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I did a lot of research on the breed when I was in college and have wanted one ever since. They are sweet and yet sassy. I like how hardy they are for being such a small dog. They are the perfect size for both a lap dog and as part of the furry family. I know they are herding dogs and that is something I would have to work on with them. I have met a few Corgis and they have always been very affectionate. Plus the way they run and walk is so cute it's ridiculous.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Walks, play with toys, training, relaxing on the couch, playing in the snow… I have a best friend that lives close so I would take my Corgi to play with her dog. She also goes to dog parks so it would be perfect for playing ball and socializing.

 I am familiar with the breed, my parents owned a corgi growing up she passed away then they helped me adopt my next corgi. He lived till he was 14 and a half and he passed away last year in March of 2019. I love corgis how they are fun, loveable and all they want to be is your best friend.

 The Pembroke would be for ourselves! We have long wanted a dog to complete our family but are waiting to find the perfect one!

 We love the breed and have done a significant amount of research on them! First of all, a corgi is the perfect size for us, not too little but not large! I love that they have their own personalities and aren’t afraid to let them shine!

 A family companion for 2 adults and one 9 year old.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We love the character of Pembroke corgis. We know them mostly from dog shows on tv and reading about the breed. We like the idea of a sturdy little dog (Big dog in a small package) that will be a good companion to our family. We also like that they have a reputation for being alert and outgoing, loyal to family and very involved in family life.

 We’d like a dog (or better yet, two!) that will go on walks with the family 1 mile, longer if they can make it. But also we’re looking for a fun companion for our son who will hang out and listen to him read (our older dog that passed away last year used to sit and be my son’s reading buddy). Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I always had a huge interest on corgis, especially on how good they are with people. I have friends that say that I have a corgi personality and I agree with that. I did research in the breed and I think they are a great match for a family like us, that lives in a condo with lots of elderly around.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 My husband and I are home most of the day, so going for walks around the pond or at dog parks will happen for sure. We live in a condo with a big green area where our dog can run and play.
