Who is this dog for?

 Myself. I live in a two adult household, and our dog would have people around almost 24/7.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I have done research, and I know that Pembroke Welsh Corgis are very smart and affectionate, which is what I would like. I have had a dog as a companion most of my life, but haven't had one in the last two years, since my beloved American Bulldog passe away. I'm really ready to shower love on a new canine family member.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 My plan is to spend a lot of time playing with my dog, and also going on long walks. In addition, I would spend time training my new dog friend with obedience classes, and as needed.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		It is my nature to deal with my canine family the same way I would with one of my children … with love and patience. Having my dog love and trust me is of the utmost importance.

Discipline:
 I am a believer in using positive discipline with my dog family. That would include time-outs, taking toys away, and avoiding giving positive attention when they misbehave.

Of course I believe showering them with lots of love and positive attention to reinforce good behavior is a must.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
 Roaming about the house and fenced-in yard would be how my Pembroke would spend their time.

Discipline:

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 I love this breed so much! They are very vocal, smart and sweet! He loves people other dogs and kids! He's my buddy and loves to cuddle! He loves to be wherever I am. We walk almost every day. He loves to play with bones. He gets cozy on his back when Im relaxing. Hes the perfect dog for my husband and I.

 As a horse person, corgis are very popular as they make great farm dogs. I love their loyal attitude and they are the perfect size for being on the go.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 I take my dogs everywhere. To the barn to spend time with the horses (if the dog is comfortable with it), for bike rides, car rides, to horse shows, and I also compete in UKC agility with my dogs.

Discipline:
 Depends on tne dog and it’s history (whether or not abuse was involved.) I have used clickers with some of my dogs, however it does not work with all of them. The discipline would really depend on the situation.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
 My current dog hangs out loose in the house as that is what she is used to. however, if the dog is crate trained and/or more comfortable in a crate, I own one and that would be arranged. Every dog is different.

 We have had Corgis as family pets for 26 years.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We have had 5 Cardigan & Pembroke Corgis over the last 26 years. Due to the age of Susie & our 2 rescue Jack Russell mixes aged approximately 9 years we are looking for an older dog which has proved to harder than we had thought. We love the corgi for their silliness & love of life attitudes. We are familiar with both the barking, outgoing, rowdy & the more quiet, laid back aspects of the breeds.

 My daughters and I love the breed and we've done extensive research. We love that Corgis are intelligent and like to snuggle.

 I use the kennel as a form of discipline, but the kennel is also learned to be a safe and private space for them. There would be scolding, but it’s nonviolent and not harsh.

 They would spend most of their time either indoors or outdoors with me.
