Who is this dog for?	Myself and my significant. We had a Pembroke for 11 years, lost him to lymphoma One and a half years ago. I have also trained numerous corgis over the years. Fell in love with their personality.
Why do you want a Pembroke?	I have been training dogs for 30 yrs. Have always been drawn to the Corgi breed because of their spunk and great personality. Finally got a puppy from a local breeder. Lost him to lymphoma at 11 yrs. Was thinking about a puppy and then decided to see if adoption was a possibility.
Activities planned with Pembroke:	Everything!! I have the advantage of being able to take my dogs to work everyday, as I own a daycare, training and grooming business. We do basic obedience through positive reinforcement, advance training and agility.

Why do you want a Pembroke?	Meghann's great aunt owned a corgi when she was growing up. Meghann fell in love with the breed; their personalities, energy, and stature made Meghann long for her own corgi. We have done research on the breed and realize that they can be high energy, however we are more than willing to work with and love any corgi that may join our family.

Why do you want a Pembroke?	Our Ringo, who just recently died from lung cancer, was determined to be part Corgi. He was a stray that we rescued, so we cannot determine his full lineage, but he was clearly part corgi. He was such an integral part of our family, and I believe it is his corgi-like traits that made him such a goofy, endearing and loveable dog. He looked goofy, with his short legs, big ears and stout body, and acted goofy. He was loving and loveable and by no means sensitive or hard to manage. He was protective but loved everyone.

Who is this dog for?	The two of us, husband and wife, in our early 60s.
Why do you want a Pembroke?	We had never owned a dog when we found a one-year-old Pem, Jessie, in our county animal shelter 15 years ago. She became a beloved family member, going with us on every vacation and weekend outing. She helped raise (read "herd") our sons. She was loyal without being clingy, active without being hyper-active, affectionate but also aloof. She was smart and almost psychically attuned to me (the mom). When we had to put her down at almost 16 years old in July, we lost a part of us.
Activities planned with Pembroke:	When Jessie was young, I taught her to do agility trials, just to keep her mind active. With the right dog, I might do that again. When she was older, Jessie and I became a certified dog therapy team with West Michigan Therapy Dogs. I would definitely do that with another dog, visiting hospitals, nursing homes, etc. Daily, I walk on the campus of the next-door college and its open fields. I love to walk and look forward to walking with a dog again.

Who is this dog for?	Myself. My pembroke of 14 1/2 years had to be put to sleep this past weekend. He was my best friend, my social savior, my soulmate, my everything. Especially after my husband died from cancer 8 years ago.
Why do you want a Pembroke?	I have loved the breed for 14 1/2 years. I love their intelligence, the way they articulate, the way they can choose to listen or not listen. I love how skillful they are manipulating their owner to get that walk or treat. And I worship how dedicated they are to their "person"!!!!
Activities planned with Pembroke:	At least 4 to 5 long walks a day. Free time playing in the private little dog park at my complex when no other dogs are in the way. Swimming in the gulf of Mexico on a calm day or in any sound with those little turtle legs paddling. Snuggling on the sofa or bed. Sleeping together in the same bed at night. Who is this dog for?	This Pembroke is for myself. In January of 2018, my cat 19 year old cat Alex passed away. I have been debating about getting another pet, but with the one year anniversary of her passing approaching, I believe that I am ready to care for another animal and provide a loving home for their life-time.
Why do you want a Pembroke?	A friend of mine had a pair of corgi's when I lived in Houston….and the best word to describe them would be two giant balls of love. They were the sweetest dogs that I have ever come across and I was always surprised that so much hair could come out of such a small dog during shedding.
