Who is this dog for?

Ian Sharp

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I love the breed. My family had a Pembroke while growing up, Abby, and currently my parents have a second, Koda, who they adopted as an adult, and I've loved both of them. They have a nice mix of energy and calmness, and their level of affection is wonderful.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
Cuddle, go for walks, play (tug of war, fetch, etc.), take him to the dog park

No

Vet contact info:

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Calmly, and by sharply saying, "no," without raising my voice angry unless to get attention (ie. stop him/her from doing something). Would not hit him or place in cage.

Discipline:
I would give the dog a time out for a few minutes by focusing on something else, and taking away a toy. A quick squirt of water at the same time as saying no would work as well.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
He/she would spend most time in the apartment.
