Who is this dog for?

Myself

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have researched them. I have a German shepherd and would love a brother for him. I want a smaller dog and have seen that corgis can hold their own with larger breeds as playmates. Plus I have always wanted a corgi. They're adorable and seem like they would match my personality of being active.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Tell him no in a stern voice and remove him from the issue and show him the proper thing to do whether it be chewing on something or a accident, etc.

Discipline:
With my shepherd I do use his kennel as a time out spot but he knows the difference between being in trouble and going in there for bed. He goes to sleep in his kennel all the time with door open without being told. I would do the same with the corgi.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
My home.

People at home during the day?
I have a friend who walks my shepherd twice a week. I do work 8-5 most week days. I get off early on 2 days and my friend walks the shepherd 2 other days. I am off weekends and schedule fun things to do that are dog frienly most weekends.

Where would dog eat?
My home in the kitchen.

Where would dog sleep:
My shepherd chooses to sleep in his kennel, he feels most comfortable there even though I try to get him to sleep in my bed. Corgi could sleep with me if he wants.

Play & exercise:
I have a fenced in backyard. I would take him to puppy classes that I have had my shepherd go through. I also would take him to parks and dog parks if he is comfortable with other dogs. Walks, hikes, swimming at the lake, tons of play time with big brother bruce (german shepherd).
